California State University, Fullerton Faculty Enhancement and Instructional Development Grant. Assigned time and resources to complete Computer-Based Instructional Media In The Teaching Of Spelling. Co-Principal Investigator with Tim Green, Hallie Yopp and Ruth Yopp. 2003

National Science Foundation, Adaptive Teaching and Learning Environments in Science and Mathematics Education. $100,000 to continue work on Washington State University’s ATLes (Adaptive Teaching and Learning Environments) Project. Co-Principal Investigator with Gregory Crouch, Claudia Brahler, Karen Hallgren , Matthew Hudelson. 2002

U.S. Department of Education, Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology (PT3). $1.4 million to complete teach.edu, a three-year program preparing teachers to make best use of innovative technologies. Co-Principal Investigator with Ed Helmstetter. 2000-2003

The Arc of Washington Trust Fund. $30,000 to support Computer-Based Learning Objects for Students with Mild Mental Retardation, a one-year project developing a set of knowledge objects designed by undergraduate and graduate students working in concert with in-service special education teachers. Co-Principal Investigator with Darcy Miller. 2000

Alhadeff Teachers of Teachers Faculty Award. $541 to obtain CD-ROM burning units; allowing pre-service and in-service teachers to create CD-ROM portfolios of their work. 2000

SMARTer Kids Foundation PREP Grant. $2,400 to place a SMART Board 580 and floor stand in Washington State University's College of Education computing laboratory. 2000.

The Center for Excellence in Education, Indiana University. $5,000 to complete Benchmarks; an articulation of and evaluation protocol for Internet-based, distance education software. Co-Principal Investigator with Lisa Hansen. 1997
