I'm Abbie Brown. My academic specialization is instructional design/technology. I help educators in K-12, college, government, and corporate settings understand and apply the instructional design process to their work. My research and teaching focuses on online distance education, instructional media production, and the professional development of instructional designers.

I am an Associate Professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, teaching in the MS and MAEd in Instructional Technology programs. I also coordinate the Certificate in Distance Learning and Administration program at ECU.
TechTrends
I am also the editor-in-chief of the journal, TechTrends: Linking Research and Practice to Improve Learning, a publication of the Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT).
